what do you care about?

when i hear you say
that you don't care, anyway
about what they got to say
i wonder
what do you care about?

do you live for what you stand for?
do you believe in more than
petty circumstances and
false pretense romances?
do your relationships speak
definitions on your philosophies?
or do you just live life as you please
not caring about the tragedies of
greedy fantasies?

'cause how they feel don't mean shit to you right?
like they in the dark and you
all up in the light
knowing what is wrong and
what is right
in your life

well, be that as it may
and it may
be true
that you know you better than
they do
if i had one thing to say
it would be to care anyway
'cause
leading life tolerant
of ignorance
in the name of a false defense
and knowingly neglecting a perfect chance to
learn from or change
another similar individual's route
makes me again wonder
what do you care about?

are you too high to
take the time to
bring them up?
too beyond to
bring them along
and over?
too blind to
change a mind
frame
a picture of their impressions
with a border of your selfless confessions
and you will surround them
with truth
that they may not know of
therefore enlightening and igniting a
simple understanding
so that they may know how
you believe
what you believe
and why

so when i see you leave naive and
unconcerned of
the way others receive, conceive, and perceive
it makes me wonder
concerned
do you care about anything?
